The school complements the academic work with a number of lively and divers after school clubs and activities aimed at stimulating and encouraging the enthusiasm and energies of the pupils. These are wide ranging and are often linked to sport and the creative and performing arts. These activities are available to all students from Year 3 upwards. They make use of the confidence and skills taught in the carefully structured P.E. programme. Although the emphasis is on participation and team involvement, students are strongly encouraged to excel as individuals. Sporting excellence is achieved through practice and dedication, qualities needed to be members of the school teams which have many opportunities to compete locally.
	The expressive and performing arts aim to develop in each student an ability to appreciate and gain pleasure from a wide variety of art, music, dance and drama. Classroom experiences in each of these areas are combined in our large scale musical and drama productions for students of all ages. The majority of these extra curricular activities are provided free of charge but a small fee may be levied to cover the cost of materials for some activities. Parents will receive a newsletter each term detailing the activities on offer. The choir and school band meet regularly and rehearse on Saturday mornings.
