Youth Hostels in Cyprus

There was a youth hostel in four of the main towns in Cyprus. They were operated by the Cyprus Youth Hostels association.

Unfortunately they have closed down a couple of them, but there are a couple left. Oops, correction, it seems there is only one left ! It is a nice one but seriously folks, no more camp sites, no more youth hostels, no more ferry, what is going on, are we not allowed to have the young or financially challenged travel anymore? We have been putting people up on blow up air beds recently as not only are the hotels full but they are getting pretty expensive, especially if you are changing the British pound to the Euro. Come on CTO, today's young poor visitors are tomorrows wealthy travellers.

Contrary to popular opinion they are were not just open to young people and students. They have had family rooms for couples, kitchen facilities are were available and only cost about 8 Euros per night per person.

If you do not have a youth hostels card, don't worry, you will be issued with a guest card, which will enable you to use the facilities of these wonderful places to stay in Cyprus.
