There was a youth hostel in four of the main towns in Cyprus. They
were operated
by the Cyprus Youth Hostels association.
Unfortunately they have closed down a couple of them, but there
are a couple left.
Contrary to popular opinion they are not just open to young people and students. They have
family rooms for couples, kitchen facilities are available and only cost about
Cy5 per night per person.
If you do not have a youth hostels card, don't worry, you will be issued with a guest card,
which will enable you to use the facilities of these wonderful places to
stay in Cyprus.
