Youth Hostels

There was a youth hostel in each of the four main towns in Cyprus. They were operated by the Cyprus Youth Hostels association.

Unfortunately they have closed down. Seriously folks, no more camp sites, no more youth hostels, no more ferry, what is going on in Cyprus, are we not allowed to have the young or budget conscious travel here anymore? We had been putting people up on blow up air beds as not only are the hotels full but they are getting pretty expensive, especially if you are changing the British pound to the Euro. Come on CTO, today's young poor visitors are tomorrows wealthy travellers.

Contrary to popular opinion they ~~are~~ were were just open to young people and students. They had family rooms for couples, kitchen facilities and only cost a fraction of a hotel room cost.
